Meaning / Significance

Morning: May I be free from the sins of my intellect, my mind, my actions or through the actions of my ancestors. Whatever sins I may have committed in the night (ignorance) — through any actions or any part of the body let it all be dissolved into the light of the luminous self.

Noon: May the waters (love) purify the world and let the purified world purify me. Love purifies the Brahman and may the Brahman purify me. May the Divine purify me of all negativity that arises from consuming inappropriate food or coveting others’ belongings.

Evening: May I be free from all the sins of my intellect, my mind, my actions or through the actions of my ancestors. Whatever sins I may have committed in the day (knowledge) — through any actions or any part of the body let it all be dissolved into the light of the luminous truth.
